Learning to Fly
At the Bundaberg Gliding Club we offer an Air Experience Flight if you want to just have a once off flight. The cost of this flight is $160 and includes short term GFA Membership with your flight of approximately 15-20 minutes. We also offer you a second flight for half price ($80.00), which must be taken on the day or the following weekend and must be taken by the same person.
PLEASE NOTE THE SECOND FLIGHT IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR A DIFFERENT PERSON AS THE INSURANCE IS DEDICATED TO ONE PERSON.
We have gift certificates available if you wish to purchase one for a special occasion for a friend or loved one. Just contact us to organise your gift certificate.
If you wish to learn how to fly a glider you can join the club and hire our gliders at very reasonable rates. You will have a qualified instructor to teach you everything you need to know to work your way towards solo flight. When you are a member and hire the glider the instruction is free.
The costs to become a member are listed below;
Membership Fees: Joining: $30 + $22 if required Pilot Log Book And Pilot Trining record Annual: $150 ($75 full time student)
Gliding Federation of Australia: 12 months Membership - $320.00 12 months Student Membership - $166.00
Family member Free (conditions apply) Club membership not required
Family Flying Member $60 + club membership
AAFC & AAL concession $106
There are options for short term membership.
Aircraft Hire: $1.00 per min.
Launch Fee: $20.00
